Position Purpose

The Graphic Designer reports to the Director, Assistant Director and Graduate Supervisors and is responsible for assisting in the creation and design of digital marketing materials that will be displayed across campus, on social media and on digital advertising boards located in the weight room in the Beaman Center

Conceptualize and design digital advertising pieces for digital displays in the Beaman Center weight room.

Establish and maintain brand standards for the Department of Fitness and Recreation within the already established university-wide brand standards.

Assist in the overall marketing and promotion of Beaman Center and Department of Fitness and Recreation programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to understand and comply with university brand standards
• Strong information design skills
• Ability to conceptualize and create visual cohesiveness for digital media
• Displayed proficiency in using Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, Canva and motion graphics software
• Ability to maintain high level of creativity and quality
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced environment with high standards for quality and accuracy
• Ability to work outside conventional work hours (e.g. weekends, late nights and some holidays)

Experience

1-3 years experience in graphic design and photography

Education

Must be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University.
